Training opportunities

General training sessions (on campus) : Training will be held in STV 107 or ITDC unless otherwise noted. Click here to access the Training.ilstu.edu web site. Once there click on the REGISTER link near the top of the page. You will see a list of courses. Select the Introduction or Advanced course and click ADD to sign up. (If no one has signed up for a session by the day before, the session is usually cancelled.)

Preparing to use Clickers in your classroom takes time and adjustment. We recommend that you take the introductory training in the semester previous to the one in which you want to implement clickers. We have scheduled the sessions to accommodate this model. Should you want to learn on your own, you can go use online training provided by TurningPoint. You should/must, however, also look at the ISU recommended settings and helpsheets to ensure proper functionality on campus.

LifeGuard Sessions

These are held during the week before classes start. It gives you a chance to practice your presentation with a receiver and a trainer available to help you troubleshoot your presentations.
