Clickers for Faculty

How to indicate a clicker is required for your course:

This process may differ between departments. Please check with your administrative assistants to verify this process.

• You will enter the clicker ISBN number in the textbook order form. An example of the form can be found on the Registrar's Website.
• Your departmental designee will enter your textbook requests into the mainframe
• Students will then see the clicker listed as a requirement for the course. Required materials appear on

  • My.IllinoisState.edu
  • at the bookstore

Note: We are keeping the same ISBN number even when the model of clicker is updated. This means that DIFFERENT models may use the same ISBN number. The bookstore should always carry the approved version.

How to Qualify for 2 free clickers for you:

Classroom Support will provide faculty with 2 of the campus standard clickers.   These are being provided to support the use of clickers in the classroom.  To receive the clickers faculty must attend a workshop or training session with the clicker administrators. Following training send an email to dosmith@ilstu.edu indicating the date of training and your campus mail code to send the clickers.

You must also indicate that a clicker is required for your course (this is done at the same time as indicating required textbooks). This has the benefit of showing students enrolling for the course that a clicker is required and will allow them to register their clicker number in the My.IllinoisState.edu.
